Joe has been involved in the development of Magic Tree House: The Musical in the USA. Written by his friend, Mary Pope Osborne, The Magic Tree House series of childrens’ books has been a critical and sales phenomenon for fifteen years; selling an incredible 42 million copies in the US alone.

Working with book writer Will Osborne and composer Randy Courts, Mary’s characters, Jack and Annie, have a new life on stage. Joe has been working closely with Will, Randy and Mary for the past two years on developing the theatrical realisation of the musical. So far this year the team have released a concept album and the first full try out production took place in September 2007 at the Warner Theatre, Connecticut. In Autumn 2008 the show begins a tour of the US east coast.

The creative team for this production also includes designer Alexander Dodge; Sarah Iams, costume design; Matt Brooks, puppet design; Matt Richards, lighting design and Sheila Waters Fucci, choreographer.
